Vibration...The annual Cultural fest of AKGEC

“Creativity is contagious, pass it on.”

Abiding to the above adage, every year Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College holds an intra college cultural festival VIBRATIONS. This event provides the student with an opportunity to break the shackles of the hectic courses and the bundles of books and gives them a sense of vibration to show up their talents wherein the arty part comes to the force.

Vibrations’14 was held on 28, 29 and 30th March 2014. This three-day fun-filled bonanza had as many as 30 events (28 competitive events and 2 non competitive events) with major attractions like sketching, face-painting, T-shirt painting, singing, dancing, miming, debating, nukkad natak, Tattoo making etc carrying attractive prize money.

The event Flash Mob was a huge success and attracted a huge crowd to tap their feet. The event Nukkad Natak(Street Plays) with social massage like women empowerment and with political satire on corruption were highly appreciated and won huge applauses.

Student Convenors along with the student co-ordinators from the college societies GOONJ, TAAL EUPHONY, SUR, ZEST, FOOTPRINTS, RENAISSANCE & PARIVRIDHI had worked hard towards conduct of this annual festival;

Students’ population from across the college participated in various individual and teams events. They vied with each other in a spirit of healthy competition, on one hand, to win prizes and, on the other, to have fun & frolic.

Besides a large number of competitive events held on 28th March, the coveted title of Mr. & Ms. Vibrations was the cynosure of Vibrations 14. This year the title was bagged by Mr. Mohd. Zaid (EN-3rd Year) and Ms. Astha Srivastava (ME-4th Year) as they enthralled the whole audience by the sheer display of their talent and wit.

The ceremony on 29th March was marked by the prize distribution along with the breath taking performance of TAAL, EUPHONY and GOONJ. The evening on 30th March was graced by the presence of the members of the management committee and their families, Director AKGEC along with all the Deans, HOD’, Faculty Members and students attended the function. The Nukkad Natak, skit, dance performances and the performance of the college band was simply awesome. The evening performances were highly appreciated and were able to set a benchmark.

Team Footprints also set up an exhibition (Arcade) in the administrative block displaying all the creative and artistic work of the participants as well as of the society members.
